It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, and Artemis could be found within the chasmic confines of his room.

He was not pleased.

He had been competing with himself on his ebony and ivory chess set and he was being driven close to insanity by the idle ticking of the small grandfather clock on his study's desk.

90,159 ticks. More than two and a half hours.

He had been waiting for Butler for precisely 2 hours, 32 minutes and 39 seconds, and still no sign of him.

He tried to preoccupy his mind with his schemes and elaborate plots to shake the concern for his bodyguard from his system.

Worrying for my own bodyguard is absolute LUDICROUS. He thought to himself as another minute passed.

Butler is a large hulking man with extensive training in several martial arts as well as expertise in assembling and handling various weaponry...

But still...

Artemis stood from the small chess table and briskly strode to the coat rack, throwing his coat on himself and heading towards the chilly atmosphere awaiting him outside Fowl Manor's doors.
